Despite its budget-friendly price tag, Apple’s iPhone SE has always been a curious case. The design is familiar but slightly outdated, and it offers powerful internals. There have been conflicting reports on the design and camera setup of the upcoming iPhone SE 4.
According to leaks earlier this week, the phone will feature a dual rear camera system, similar to the iPhone 16. Leaked CAD renderings and previous reports pointed to a single rear camera.
New leaks from reputable sources have shed light on the iPhone SE 4’s probable specs, seemingly putting an end to the dual camera rumours. The tipster also shared details about the iPhone SE 4, which we covered separately.
Ice Universe reports that the iPhone SE 4 will have a single 48-megapixel rear camera. According to reports, the display measures 6.06 inches, a significant increase from the SE 3’s 4.7-inch display. Even mid-range Android phones offer smoother 90Hz or 120Hz displays, but it may still have a 60Hz refresh rate.
The device will be powered by Apple’s latest A18 Bionic chip. There is also a leak that mentions 6GB or 8GB of RAM, along with an unspecified modem that could be sourced from either Apple or Qualcomm.
The tipster revealed that the side frame is made of aluminum. According to previous reports, the phone will ditch the iconic home button and chunky bezels of older SE models in favour of a more iPhone-like design. It also mentions Face ID, which will replace Touch ID.
The leak also suggests a USB-C port, which is an improvement over the current Lightning connector. It is expected that the iPhone SE 4 will cost between $499 and $549. There are rumours that the launch will take place between March and May 2025.
