New ‘Slim’ models of the iPhone 17 series are rumored to replace the Plus models. Since Apple is working on a ‘skinnier’ phone, the iPhone 17 Slim is expected to feature a thin design. Apple claims that its latest iPad Pro is its thinnest product yet, starting this trend. Apple’s ultra-slim products will continue to be made.
According to Mark Gurman’s latest Power On newsletter, Apple is planning a “significantly skinnier phone” for the iPhone 17. Besides the fact that this ultra-slim iPhone will be ready for the iPhone 17 launch in 2025, no other details have been released.
Apple also plans to develop thin MacBook Pros and Watches. As a result, future Apple devices will be thinner. Apple’s thin and light products began with the iPad Pro. With a thickness of 6.9mm, the iPhone 6 was the thinnest iPhone to date. For future iPhones, it will be interesting to see how Apple achieves this ultra-slim design.
Apple’s iPhone 17 Slim could be the thin and light iPhone rumoured. In May, four iPhone 17 models were announced: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Slim, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. According to reports, the iPhone 17 Slim will have a slim design and will replace the Plus model. A “more complex” aluminum design will also be featured. Even though the iPhone 17 Slim replaces the Plus model, it will still have a large screen, which could be 6.6 inches.
