As Samsung launched the Galaxy S22, its battery capacity was one of its ‘controversial’ features. It had a smaller capacity than the Galaxy S20 and S21, after all, with 3700 mAh. With the Galaxy S23, the battery capacity improved again (3900 mAh), and with the Galaxy S24, we’re back to 4000 mAh. What direction will Samsung take with the Galaxy S25 next year?
Samsung intends to replace it until 2025, according to information that has reached us. As with the Galaxy S24, the Galaxy S25 – the basic variant SM-S931, not the plus or ultra versions – has the same battery capacity as the Galaxy S24. It has a rated capacity of 15.06 Wh. With a voltage of 3.88 Volt, this results in 3881 mAh of capacity. The advertised typical capacity is 4000 mAh. In fact, it’s the same as the S24.
As of right now, we are unable to confirm the battery capacity of the other Galaxy S25 models. While the Galaxy S25 series is still quite early in the development process, it is still quite early to begin looking forward to it seriously. It will be seven months or more before the devices appear in early 2025. We’ll get to know other top phones first, such as the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. It will be launched within a month. Before then, the Galaxy S24 FE must also appear.
