In the country, Jio has introduced new unlimited plans and refreshed its offerings. As of now, it starts at Rs 189 and goes up to Rs 3,599. The new plans will be available from July 3, 2024, according to Jio.

Currently, the base plan with 28 days validity costs Rs. 189, a 21.9% increase, and the other plans are up 12 to 25%. There has been a 25% hike in the price of the Rs. 239 plan with 1.5GB of data per day.

There has been a 20% increase in the annual plan to Rs. 3599. Postpaid plans have also been raised to match pre-paid plans. According to the company, all plans with 2GB/day and above will have unlimited 5G data.

The hike is in line with Jio’s commitment to provide the best service at the lowest price. On July 3rd 2024, the new plans will be available through all existing channels and touchpoints.

As part of the new plans, the telecom giant has also launched a couple of new apps. JioSafe is a communication app with features such as calling, messaging, file transfer, and more (priced at Rs 199 per month). Another app is JioTranslate, an AI-powered multilingual communication app for translating voice calls, voice messages, text, and images (priced at Rs 99 per month). Nevertheless, Jio users will get both apps for Rs 298/month, which is free for a year.
