Besides the Redmi K70, K70 Pro, and K70E announced last November, a fourth member of the family is coming soon – the Redmi K70 Ultra. It is expected to launch at some point in the near future, and today its specs have been leaked in China.
K70 Ultra will use the Dimensity 9300+ SoC, and it will have a “1.5K” screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 5,500mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging. This device is rumored to have a metal frame and glass back, IP68 dust and water resistance, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Take all of this with a healthy grain of salt, as it would mean the Ultra is actually a downgrade from the Pro.
Although the K70 Ultra will only launch in China, it is very likely that the 14T Pro will be based on it, as last year’s 13T Pro was based on the K60 Ultra with some enhancements. In addition, one comment on the Weibo post about this leak indicates that the 14T Pro will instead have a 23mm primary camera with an OmniVision OV50H sensor, a 75mm telephoto sensor with a 3x telephoto lens, a 16mm ultrawide camera with an OV13 sensor, and Leica branding everywhere.
Thus, the 14T Pro gets a 3x tele instead of 2x, a slightly wider main camera, a slightly narrower ultrawide, and 10% more battery life. It’s still a few months away from launching, so we’re bound to learn more about it soon.
