Snapdragon Summit 2024 dates have been announced by Qualcomm. Qualcomm’s CMO, Don McGuire, previously confirmed the upcoming event will unveil the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 mobile platform.

In Maui, Hawaii, the event will take place on October 21 and 23. It is usually here that Snapdragon Summits are held. Prior to the announcement, Qualcomm’s CMO had revealed the upcoming high-end chipset would feature the Qualcomm Oryon, which is a supercharged CPU, as well as a new NPU (Neutral Processing Unit).

There is a possibility that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset could reach a peak clock speed of 4GHz. According to Geekbench, the chipset scores 3,000 points in single-core tests and 10,000 points in multi-core tests. As part of the upcoming SoC, Qualcomm will use TSMC’s first-generation 3nm node.

This chipset has an octa-core architecture with two prime and six high-performance cores. During the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test, the Adreno 830 GPU outperformed Apple’s M2 chipset by 10%.

According to reports, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 ran Genshin Impact smoothly for 45 minutes at a stable frame rate. As the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 smartphone, Xiaomi is expected to announce the Xiaomi 15 series soon after the event.
