On June 18, Oppo will launch the Reno 12 series globally. Besides the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro, there is also rumour of a third smartphone.
According to an exclusive report by Spill Some Beans, it will be the Oppo Reno 12 FS 5G, not the Reno 12F. Before the phone launch, the publication shared the design and full specifications.
Oppo Reno12 FS 5G:
The Oppo Reno 12 FS 5G features a different design from the Reno 12 and Pro. Oppo has replaced the rectangular camera module with a circular island dubbed the “Cosmo Ring Design.” It also features a Halo Light that can be customized with 8 colors. There will be two colors available at the launch: Amber Orange and Black Green.
Oppo Reno12 F 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with AGC DT-Star2 on top & 600-nits peak brightness. Oppo Reno12 FS 5G will be powered by Dimensity 6300 SoC coupled with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS 2.2 storage. The device features in-display fingerprint scanner support.
It will feature a 50MP OmniVision OV50D main sensor coupled with an 8MP IMX355 Ultra-wide and a 2MP macro sensor with LED flash. There is a 32MP selfie sensor under the punch-hole display. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast wired charging support. It runs on Android 14 OS with ColorOS 14 on top.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE, 5G, VoLTE, Wifi-6, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC (5G variant), Bluetooth 5.2, FM Radio, and USB Type-C port. It will have a dustproof and water-resistant chassis rated IP65.
Oppo Reno12 FS 5G also comes with a suite of AI features. As part of this, we will have AI Eraser for removing unwanted people and objects from photos, AI Smart Image Matting and AI Studio for turning pictures into stickers and portraits into artworks, and AI LinkBookst and AI BeaconLink for optimizing connectivity.
On June 18, Oppo Reno12 FS 5G will probably launch alongside the vanilla Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro. For the 12GB+512GB storage variant, it will cost EUR 399.99.
