The Reno12 series has been reworked by Oppo, and the two phones will be available in Europe soon. Besides an energy-efficient chipset and AI functionality, they have an emergency communication feature as well. These are different from the Reno12 and 12 Pro for China.

Oppo Reno12:

The new Oppo Reno12 will sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED 3D curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with Gorilla Glass 7i protection on top. The Oppo Reno12 is the first device that will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy SoC. The device is coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage option.

The Oppo Reno12 will feature triple-rear cameras with a 50MP main Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS. It is coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide camera & 2MP macro sensor. There is a 32MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch.

It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. Also features dual speakers and IP65 rated making it splash-proof. The device runs on Android 14 OS with ColorOS 14.1 on top.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE, 5G (Dual Band support), VoLTE and Wifi 6. The device also features IR Blaster, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, FM Radio, and USB Type-C port. It features in-display fingerprint scanner support. It measures 7.62mm thick and weighs 184g.

Oppo Reno12 Pro:

The Oppo Reno12 Pro will have a cheaper build with a plastic frame & glass back. The device measures 7.4 mm thick & weighs 180g.

 

The new Oppo Reno12 Pro will sport a 6.74-inch FHD+ 1.5K OLED curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on top. The device is now powered by the latest  Dimensity 9200+ SoC coupled with 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage.

The Oppo Reno12 Pro will feature dual rear cameras with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor coupled with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide IMX355 sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. It also comes with a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens with 2x zoom. The Oppo Reno12 Pro features a 50MP Samsung JN5 selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch.

AI Features:

These phones have AI-based features such as AI Clear Face, which enhances facial contours, hair and eyebrows. The AI Best Face ensures that everyone in the shot has their eyes open. The AI Eraser has also been updated by Oppo.

The AI Toolbox includes AI Write, AI Speak, and AI Summary, which utilize Google’s Gemini model for text and speech. Using the Recording app’s AI Recording Summary feature, you can create text summaries and organize them into notes that highlight to-do lists, times, locations, and other relevant information.

Oppo introduces BeaconLink, which is fascinating. Using proprietary protocols over Bluetooth, it enables voice calls without any cellular coverage or subscription at up to 200m. The Oppo Reno12 and Reno12 Pro become high-tech walkie-talkies.

Pricing:

The Oppo Reno12 5G global model will be available in Black Brown and Astro Silver, while the Reno12 Pro 5G will be available in Nebula Silver and Nebula Black.

Oppo Reno12 costs €500 (Rs.44,800/-) (12/256GB) and goes on sale on June 25, while Oppo Reno12 Pro costs €600 (Rs.53,700/-) (12/512GB) and is available now.
