In China, the OnePlus Watch 3 has been spotted on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) certification database. It follows previous certifications obtained by the smartwatch, suggesting a launch is imminent.
According to the MIIT listing, the smartwatch’s model number is OPWW234, matching certifications from BIS and TUV Rheinland. OnePlus Watch 3 appears to follow the naming convention of its predecessor, the OnePlus Watch 2 (OPWWE231).
The OnePlus Watch 3 retains the round watch face design with two buttons on the right side. It looks similar to the OnePlus Watch 2, suggesting an iterative update rather than a significant redesign.
While the OnePlus Watch 3’s technical specifications are still being kept under wraps, here’s what we know so far: it will come with a 500mAh battery and 10W fast charging. The CMIIT certification suggests eSIM support, allowing cellular connectivity on the go.
The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear W5 SoC or possibly the unreleased Snapdragon W5 Gen 2.
