OnePlus 13 is the upcoming flagship smartphone from the company. There may be a degradation in charging performance with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, according to a new leak.
According to Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 13 will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, a 6000mAh battery, and 100W fast charging.
With a 5000mAh battery, it is a significant upgrade over its predecessor, and the wired charging speed remains unchanged. OnePlus 13 may not support wireless charging, however, according to the tipster.
On Amazon.com, OnePlus touts the OnePlus 12 as the “Fastest Wireless Charging” flagship Android smartphone. Users will likely be disappointed by the absence of this feature in the OnePlus 13.
OnePlus didn’t explain why it might not include wireless charging. Perhaps it is because of the larger 6000mAh battery, which adds weight and takes up more space inside the phone, making it difficult to fit a wireless charging coil inside.
OnePlus will not be the first company to skip wireless charging on a flagship model. With the OnePlus 11, the company did the same, and it might do the same with the flagship of 2025.
The same tipster previously revealed that the phone will have a 6.8-inch 2K LTPO display with a micro-curved design and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
