On June 25, Motorola will launch its next generation of foldable phones, the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra. European retail listings confirmed the launch prices of the two foldables ahead of the launch event.

The Razr 50 comes in Orange, Grey, and Sand colors and starts at €899 (Rs.80,500/-) for its 8/256GB model. You can buy the 12/512GB version of the Razr 50 Ultra for €1,199 (Rs.1,07,300/-) in Green, Blue, and Peach colors. The prices of the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra are similar to those of last year’s models.

Motorola G85 has also been listed in a listing. The device is available in Gray, Olive, and Surf (Blue) color options for €349 (Rs.31,300/-) with 12GB of storage. It costs €49 more than its predecessor, the Moto G84.

Design:

It appears that the Razr 50 5G colors are grey and khaki based on the renders. The Razr 50 Ultra is expected to come in Peach Fuzz, Green and Blue.

Both phones’ cover screens appear to have separate cutouts for the camera lenses. It’s just the camera rings and there’s no enclosure. On the Ultra model, the cover screen is larger. The bezels appear to be slimmer as well.

A thick band covers the Razr 50’s cover screen in tent mode. On its main screen, the Razr 50 appears to have a narrower bezel.

Motorola RAZR 50 Ultra:

The Motorola RAZR 50 Ultra comes with a 6.69″ FHD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a resolution of 2640×1080 pixels and a 21:9 aspect ratio. It comes with whopping 165Hz refresh rate support & Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. Now the Motorola RAZR 50 Ultra display slides back into the frame to avoid damage when you fold the device. Motorola RAZR 50 Ultra packs the same 4″ (1056×1066 pixels) POLED outer display.

The hinge components were reduced to 85 parts to increase longevity and endurance. Content can be captured from multiple angles with the phone propped up on its back.

 

The new Motorola RAZR 50 Ultra is powered by SD 8s Gen 3 SoC coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage. The new Motorola RAZR 50 Ultra features a 50MP outer camera with an aperture of f/1.88 with OIS coupled with a 50MP macro/wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. There is a 32MP OmniVision OV32B40 selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. One can use the outer display to click the selfie which was missing from the predecessor.

In addition, the Razr 50 Ultra will be Motorola’s first clamshell foldable with AI-powered photo and video capture.

The device comes with Dual SIM support with 5G, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.3, WLAN, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and IPX8 certification. The Motorola RAZR 40 Ultra 5G packs a lower 4000 mAh battery with a 33W fast charger & wireless charging support. Motorola RAZR 50 Ultra runs on Android 14 OS.

The Motorola RAZR 50 comes with 6.9 inches POLED HDR display with a resolution of 2640×1080 pixels and a 21:9 aspect ratio. It comes with 120Hz refresh rate support & Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. Motorola RAZR 50 also includes a secondary screen of 3.63” (194×368 pixels) POLED display which is perfect for showing notifications.
