With back-to-back surprises today, Google has been on a roll. The company has posted a sneak peek of what appears to be the Pixel 9 Pro in its store immediately following the release of invites for the “Made by Google” event.
On the Google Store website, a 12-second teaser video offers a glimpse at the upcoming Pixel 9 Pro’s design. An animation of the “Google Pixel” logo precedes an animation of the Roman numeral “IX,” indicating the phone’s position in the Pixel lineup.
In the teaser, the device’s outline and distinctive camera bar, featuring a triple-lens setup, are revealed with a shimmer effect. With its lighter color scheme, the phone appears to be a Pro model.
According to the same website, Google will hold a keynote event on August 13th, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. Pacific Time. The event will be streamed live on YouTube. Also confirmed are “the latest exciting updates across Android, Gemini, and the Pixel portfolio.”
Google AI has been integrated into the company’s mobile platform, pointing to significant improvements in the user experience. However, the Pixel 9 series is believed to feature Gemini Live, the conversational AI experience shown off at Google I/O. Through Astra, the phone’s functionality and user interaction will be enhanced by features such as spam call detection and live camera capabilities.
