Airtel revised its prepaid and postpaid plans in India shortly after Jio’s tariff hike yesterday. Bharti Group-owned telco has increased its monthly and annual plans by up to 20%. Here are Airtel’s new plan rates.
Airtel’s new prepaid plans start at Rs 199 for 28 days and go up to Rs 3,599 for 365-day annual plans.
Starting July 3, Airtel’s prepaid and postpaid plans will have new prices across India. Customers can recharge with existing rates and queue their plans until then. Below is a detailed chart showing the revised plan rates.

For business sustainability, Airtel is moving towards an Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) of around Rs 300. It also mentions that entry-level plans have been raised nominally to provide good value to budget-conscious customers.
Vi:
Vi, India’s third-largest telecom operator, raised the prices of its prepaid and postpaid plans following Jio and Airtel. As of today, the company’s entry-level prepaid plan costs Rs 179 instead of Rs 199. All other monthly and annual plans have also been increased. They’ll go into effect on July 4, 2024. Vi has increased its rates by up to 20%.
As a result of the recent hikes, the revised plans are on par with those offered by Airtel and Jio. The new Vi Plans are listed above.
