With Xiaomi likely wrapping up its major smartphone releases for the year, attention now turns to the anticipated next-gen tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 7 series.
This lineup is anticipated to consist of two models: the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro, both subjects of numerous leaks in recent times. A recent leak by Smart Pikachu has shed light on the tentative launch timeframe for these tablets.
According to the tipster, Xiaomi is slated to unveil the Pad 7 series in the third quarter of this year. This marks a notable delay compared to its predecessors, the Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro, which debuted in April last year.
However, the tipster hints at an interesting feature – the tablets being suitable for “car use” in a Plug and Play manner. This aligns with Xiaomi’s broader ecosystem approach, especially as it expands into electric vehicles (EVs). Ensuring seamless compatibility across its product lineup seems to be a priority for the company.
Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro:
Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is having a 12.45-inch LCD with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and will support rapid 120W charging.
Earlier this week, China’s 3C regulatory body certified Xiaomi’s 24018RPACC tablet with 120W fast-charging capabilities.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro with model number 24018RPACG (Global version) has also appeared on Singapore’s IMDA certification platform, indicating an imminent launch. There are no details on the specifications or pricing of the device yet.
The tablet’s previous specifications have included a high-refresh-rate screen at 144Hz, dual 50MP cameras, a dual-core battery that supports 67W/90W charging, a quad-speaker system, and enhanced multi-device ability.
