On May 7th, Apple will unveil its new iPads. Several reports point to new and refreshed iPads from the iPhone maker, although nothing has been officially announced. A major revamp of the iPad Pro has already been leaked multiple times. According to a new report, the iPad Pro lineup will include the best OLED tablet panels ever.
Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) CEO Ross Young said the OLED panels on the 2024 iPad Pro lineup are the best on the market. Additionally, the new iPad Pro is expected to feature an LTPO panel and a 120Hz refresh rate. There will be two sizes available, 11.1 inches and 12.9 inches.
Featuring a tandem stack and glass thinned, these OLED panels will provide high brightness, extended battery life, and a long lifetime.
As a result of the use of OLED panels, the iPad Pros are slimmer and have slimmer bezels. Apple is also rumored to include a landscape-oriented Face ID camera on the iPad Pro models of 2024. The latest iPad Pros will also be equipped with Apple’s in-house M4 chip. In addition, this would be the debut of the new AI-infused M4 chipset. The 2024 iPad Pro lineup is likely to have some AI-focused features.
