The biggest feature of One UI 6.1 is Galaxy AI, which runs throughout the entire system, from simple text editing to more advanced image editing. It is rumored that this will be extended with “video AI” for One UI 6.1.1. I wonder what else this version will include?
Samsung is already testing One UI 7.0, but we don’t know when it will be released. Tarun Vats spotted an internal test build. There were two versions of the build: S928BXXU2BXE2/S928BOXM2BXE2/S928BXXU2BXD4.
S928 is the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and “B” indicates that it’s the European version. Even European Ultra models use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. All three models of the S24 are on the same software update schedule, so it doesn’t matter.
One UI 7.0/Android 15 should also be available for older Galaxy models. With its support cycle ending on Android 14, the Samsung Galaxy S21 series was originally scheduled to receive three OS updates. As Samsung extended this to four OS updates, this should be the oldest Galaxy generation to receive One UI 7.0. This also applies to the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Z Fold3.
Most likely, the new major version will debut with the Galaxy S25 series early next year. As for version 7.0, leaks should provide a clue as to what to expect.
