A new G-series smartphone should be launched by Lenovo soon. In the past week, the European retailer spotted the Moto G85 5G on its website. As of now, Geekbench has revealed some of the hardware specifications. It will be the successor to last year’s Moto G84 5G.
Moto G85 5G is listed with a motherboard codenamed ‘malmo’. There are six cores running at 2.02GHz and two cores running at 2.30GHz in this octa-core setup. Adreno 619 GPU is present. It is speculated that the processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 as it appears to be an unannounced one. Due to the different clock speeds of the GPU on Snapdragon 695 and 480.
Moto G85 5G is listed with 8GB of RAM. Out of the box, it runs Android 14. The smartphone scores 939 points in single-core and 2,092 points in multi-core tests on Geekbench. There is no additional information about the smartphone in the benchmarking database.
The Moto G85 5G might be available in 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage variants, according to retailer listings. The price will be approximately €300, the same as its predecessor.
