As MediaTek’s latest flagship chipset, Dimensity 9300+ boasts higher clock speeds and improved APU compared to Dimensity 9300. It has a prime Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.4GHz, compared to 3.25GHz on the Dimensity 9300.
Like its predecessor, the new chip uses TSMC’s third-generation 4nm+ process node and features the same Arm Immortalis-G720 GPU with raytracing. With MediaTek’s NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration technology, the APU 790 promises a 10% performance boost in AI tasks. The Dimension 9300+ is capable of running LLMs with 7B parameters at a rate of 22 tokens per second.
It also supports 01.AI Yi-Nano, Alibaba Cloud Qwen, Baichuan AI, ERNIE-3.5-SE, Google Gemini Nano, and Meta Llama 2 and Llama 3. Additionally, the Dimensity 9300+ supports on-device LoRA Fusion in conjunction with NeuroPilot LoRA Fusion 2.0.
Moreover, MediaTek added its MediaTek Adaptive Gaming Technology (MAGT) to improve power efficiency in gaming titles and Network Observation System (NOS) to maximize Wi-Fi/Cellular dual-network convergence and save up to 10% in energy consumption.
Vivo X100s (May 13) and iQOO Neo 9S Pro are expected to be the first smartphones to use the Dimensity 9300+ chipset.
