Google has enough time to prepare its Pixel 9 series smartphones for October launch. There will be three smartphones in this year’s lineup, compared to two in the previous year – the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 XL.
Google will release three Pixel 9 phones, according to a new leak from Android Central. Case maker Thinborne allegedly sent the publication cases for all Pixel 9 models. Pixel 9 cases reveal some physical details about its design. Compared to the Pixel 8, these phones have flat sides and smooth corners.
The camera bar on the back remains, but rumors suggest that it may now have rounded edges. Leaked renders of all Pixel 9 devices hint at similar changes as the cases suggest.
Pixel 9 phones will be powered by Tensor G4 chips according to specs. The Pixel 9 Pro is rumored to come with 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Pixel 9 XL will have a similar memory configuration.
As with its predecessor, the Pixel 9 is expected to have a dual-camera setup as standard. There will likely be a triple camera setup on the back of the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL.
The upcoming Pixel Fold 2 could also be renamed the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, according to a rumor last month. In 2025, there may also be a Pixel 9a. As a result, the Pixel 9 line will technically feature five devices.
