In the near future, Nothing’s sub-brand CMF will launch its first smartphone. It was reported earlier this month that it could debut as a budget smartphone with a solid feature set. According to a new leak by @realMlgmXyysd on X, the upcoming CMF smartphone will likely be a rebranded version of the Nothing Phone (2a).

The tipster claims that the engineering sample of the CMF phone with model number A015 has a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, a 5,000mAh battery, and 33W fast charging. In addition, the report claims it will have a 6.67-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.

It has 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding storage. According to the leak, the phone will come with a 50MP primary camera along with another vertically arranged camera. It will have a 16MP camera on the front.

The device will feature a replaceable plastic back cover, without Glyph lights. It will run Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5, and it will also support Widevine L1 certification for HD streaming. Orange will be the only color option available in India, along with Black, Green, and Blue.

The tipster also mentions that the phone is expected to launch in July 2024 for $249 to $279 USD. According to earlier reports, the budget price would be approximately $140 (about Rs 12,000). According to the specifications, the CMF phone may be a rebranded version of the Nothing Phone (2a). These specs are from an engineering sample, so readers should take this information with caution and stay tuned for updates.
