Later this year, Apple will launch its iPhone 16 lineup. New details regarding the iPhone 16 Pro Max have been revealed in a fresh report, though the announcement is still months away.
Ming-Chi Kuo broke the news. According to reports, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a longer battery life than its predecessor. Battery capacity isn’t just being expanded by the brand. In order to ensure further endurance while keeping the battery size, it is rumored to utilize a cell with higher energy density.
Apple may also use this technology to make the cell smaller but maintain the same battery life. Due to the newer battery technology and the new A18 Pro processor, we could expect a noticeable bump in battery life since the design isn’t scheduled to change drastically.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max could therefore become lighter and slimmer as a result. Kuo believes that the supply chain survey indicates a boost in energy density (Wh.kg) for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Apple could prevent overheating by using a stainless steel battery case, even though this density would also lead to increased thermals. For the first time, the company would use this material on its battery case.
Apple has not yet revealed what technology it intends to use on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. As an added bonus, stainless steel is in line with the EU’s future battery replacement requirements. However, it can now dissipate heat just as well as aluminum. Stay tuned for more updates as we will provide more information in regards to the 2024 iPhones as it becomes available.
