With its recent iPhone generations, Apple has stayed true to its design philosophy. Although the iPhone 15 Pro models included premium materials such as Titanium, their overall design remained the same. There is some indication that one of the iPhone 17 models will get a Slim design, but this trend is expected to continue with future generations as well.
A new member of the lineup has been announced by analyst Jess Pu. According to reports, Apple is working on a new slimmer iPhone 17 model. This new variant will replace the Plus model and sit just above the base iPhone 17. The iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Sim, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max will be made of titanium, according to Pu.
For proximity sensors, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have a new “metalens” technology. Apple would be able to shrink Dynamic Island without compromising Face ID in the next-generation device. Despite replacing the Plus, the iPhone 17 Slim has a larger display than the base model. This taller screen will be packaged in a slimmer and more sleeker body. According to Pu, iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim may offer 8GB of RAM and either the A18 or A19 processor.
However, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will come with 12GB of RAM and an A19 Pro processor. Each model will have a 24-megapixel selfie camera and a scratch-resistant anti-reflective display. This is an unconfirmed report at the moment, so take it with a grain of salt.
