Sony India has officially announced the PlayStation 5 Slim. PS5 Slim was released in November 2023, and now it has finally reached India.
PlayStation 5 Slim (CFI-2000 model) is priced at 54,990 INR. It is for a disc drive-equipped base variant. The PS5 Slim Digital Edition, on the other hand, costs just 44,990 INR. From 5th April 2024, both versions will be available for purchase. Across the country, you can purchase the gaming console from leading retailers.
In case you’re unfamiliar with it, the Sony PS5 Slim has a thinner and more compact design, as well as a detachable disc drive. In total, the Slim variant reduces volume by 30 percent and weight by 24 percent. Besides a refreshed design, the storage has been bumped up to 1TB with a second USB-C port.
The PS5 Slim offers similar hardware to the base PS5 despite its smaller form factor. However, new variants may be arriving in India soon, despite the console’s sole White color option. As part of the Deep Earth collection, the PS5 Slim was introduced in three new colors earlier this year: Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver. It is possible that the Indian release will follow soon.
