Galaxy AI is powered by Google’s Gemini Nano AI model, which should be common knowledge by now. Some of the tools use Gemini Pro via an online connection, but most computations are done on the device. Google’s Gemini Nano 2 will power the Galaxy S25’s artificial intelligence, according to a new report.
Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series was renowned for its Galaxy AI. Interestingly, the Galaxy S23 series broke the previous record set by this series. Most of these tools involve on-device AI, and many of them generate text and translate languages.
On X, we hear from Nguyen Phi Hung. Even though this news is coming from a reputable source, it should still be taken with a grain of salt. The companies haven’t officially announced this yet, so anything could change between now and the official launch.
The next batch of Galaxy S phones will be developed by Google and Samsung once again, according to the report. The Galaxy S25 phones will introduce further improvements to Galaxy AI early next year. As of now, there isn’t a lot of information about these devices. With a similar form factor as it has been for a few years, we can expect a slew of performance and camera improvements.
It was unanticipated, however, that Gemini Nano would be updated. Due to the recent introduction of Gemini Nano, we don’t know when Google plans to release it. If Gemini Nano version 2 is released early next year with the Galaxy S25, then its AI models should probably be updated yearly.
Both the Galaxy S25 and Gemini Nano 2 have little information available at the moment. Early in the year, information about the latest Galaxy S phones begins to emerge.
