It appears that Samsung may be developing cheaper foldable phones, according to an article on X. Samsung’s Fan Edition brand is known for offering less expensive versions of existing devices, which would include phones dubbed “Galaxy Z Fold FE” and “Galaxy Z Flip FE.”
It’s not exactly known for sure where these leaks come from, and the details themselves raise some questions. The leaked screenshot for the Z Fold FE, for instance, mentions an unknown Exynos processor starting with “2” – either a nonexistent chip or an outdated leak. A few insiders also think only one of these foldable FEs will see the light of day, but which one is still a mystery.
The Galaxy Z Flip FE has 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and may be powered by Snapdragon 7-series processors.
These screenshots may not be confirmation, but they aren’t entirely out of the blue either. Rumors about Samsung’s Fan Edition foldables have been around for a while. Don’t get your hopes up just yet – we can’t be sure and wouldn’t recommend getting too excited.
We might learn more about Samsung’s foldable phone plans during its upcoming Unpacked event in early July.
