Samsung’s next-generation foldable smartphones are the subject of so many rumors that it’s hard to distinguish what’s true from what’s not. How many Fold6 models will there be? The Fold6 and Fold6 FE, or the Fold6 and Fold6 Ultra, if so? Can we expect a Flip FE at all? We have more questions as more rumors emerge.
Usually reliable sources talk about the Fold6’s battery, but it’s unclear which Fold6 they are talking about. According to Ice Universe, the Fold6 will have a 4,400 mAh battery with 25W wired charging. Later on, in a reply to an X user, he confirmed this is the final version, so no more changes should be made at this point.
There’s a good chance those numbers feel familiar to you because the Galaxy Z Fold5, launched last year, also has a 4,400mAh battery with 25W wired charging support. It would be bad news for those expecting Samsung to improve its larger foldable’s battery capacity and support faster charging if this rumor comes true.
Galaxy Z Fold 6’s unfolded thickness is 5.6mm, according to the leaker. According to him, the device will measure 12.1mm when folded. The Z Fold 5 measures 6.1mm when folded and 13.4mm when unfolded.
The Z Fold 5 weighs 253 grams. According to the leaker, the Z Fold 6 will now weigh 239 grams, a reduction of 15 grams.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 is rumored to have a 6.3-inch 22:9 aspect ratio cover display. There may be a 7.6-inch foldable screen with a 7:6 aspect ratio on the inside.
According to reports, Samsung may also launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra in addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Rumor mills have yet to leak Ultra’s specifications.
At the next Unpacked event, probably in Paris in early to mid-July, the Fold6 is expected to become official.
