HMD has just launched its first batch of self-branded smartphones. Now, HMD is bringing its first smartphone to India. India might see the launch of one of the HMD Pulse, Pulse+, Pulse Pro, or Vibe smartphones this week.
On X, HMD India shared a teaser announcing its Indian launch. It will announce the name of the first HMD smartphone in India on April 29th. Early next week, we’ll know which device is coming.
It’s unclear which HMD smartphone will launch here, but it’s most likely one of the four recently launched devices. In Europe, HMD Pulse and Pulse Pro were launched and in the US, HMD Vibe was launched. They all fall within the budget segment, starting at around Rs 12,500.
HMD Pulse Pro:
The new HMD Pulse Pro sports 6.65 inches HD+ IPS LCD punch-hole 90Hz refresh rate display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The HMD Pulse Pro with Unisoc T606 SoC is coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The HMD Pulse Pro features a dual camera with a 50MP main sensor. It comes with a secondary 2MP depth sensor with LED flash. It features a 50MP selfie shooter.
The connectivity option includes a USB Type-C port, Wifi, Dual SIM with 4G LTE, VoLTE support, a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, A-GPS, and GLONASS with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 20W charge support. The HMD Pulse Pro runs on Android 14 OS. Further, the device is also splash-proof thanks to IP52 certification. The device measures 8.55 mm thick and weighs 196g.
HMD Pulse Pro will cost €179 (Rs.16,000/-) for 6GB+128GB.
HMD Pulse Plus:
The new HMD Pulse Plus sports 6.65 inches HD+ IPS LCD punch-hole 90Hz refresh rate display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The HMD Pulse Plus with Unisoc T606 SoC is coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage.
The HMD Pulse Plus features a dual camera with a 50MP main sensor. It comes with a secondary 2MP depth sensor with an LED flash. It features an 8MP selfie shooter.
