Google Pixel 8a has been frequent guest in our news section lately. The specs and detailed renders revealed the color options at launch. Now we have pricing information as well.
Apparently, the price was leaked by a Canadian retailer well before launch. Prices are expected to range from CAD 709 to CAD 793, depending on 128GB or 256GB of storage. This puts it in the INR 40,000-45,000 range in India, but prices may vary due to import taxes and other costs. Pixel 8a may cost a bit more than Pixel 7a.
In the United States, the Pixel 8a will be available through Google Fi Wireless, while an announcement date for the Indian market will be revealed after Google’s I/O developer conference. In India, Flipkart is likely to be the main sales channel.
There is a lot of buzz surrounding the Pixel 8a, so we are likely to hear an official statement from Google soon.
The Google Pixel 8a will have a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It’s expected that the phone will be powered by the same chipset found in the Pixel 8 smartphones. With 128GB and 256GB storage options, it runs Android 14 out of the box.
At the back, the Pixel 8a features a 13MP ultra-wide camera with OIS and a 64MP primary camera with OIS. The front camera might have 13MP for selfies. Pixel 7a has the same camera setup. There is also a possibility that the smartphone will pack a 4,500mAh battery with 27W fast charging capability.
