For a while now, leaks have been surfacing about the Pixel 8a. There was even a leak of what we can expect from Google Fi itself. An anonymous tipster recently spotted the phone on the website of a US carrier.

Evan Blass spotted the Pixel 8a on UScellular’s website. Before removing the tutorial, the carrier uploaded one for the device. Blass captured a screenshot that revealed the Obsidian color variant as well as Porcelain, Bay, and Mint.

Compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 7a, the Pixel 8a seems to take a different design path. It has curvier edges and thicker bezels, but the carrier listing doesn’t reveal its back. As of now, leaks indicate that the 7a will have a matte finish instead of its glossy finish.

Additionally, it is rumored that Pixel 8a will have a 6.1-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1,400 nit peak brightness. It could be powered by the Tensor G3 chip, but probably a downsized version compared to the one in the Pixel 8.

Moreover, the 8a could have faster charging capabilities, improving battery life.

On May 14th, Google I/O is set to take place, and it is expected that the company will announce the smartphone there.
