Google is reportedly working on a smartwatch, the Pixel Watch 3. It is still unclear what the wearable will look like despite leaks about it. Pixel Watch 3 battery size has been revealed in a recent certification, however.
Dekra and Safety Korea registered the smartwatch as G1QME in their regulatory filings. It’s not confirmed, but the model number suggests the Pixel Watch 3.
These filings indicate that the Pixel Watch 3 will have a 307mAh battery. The new battery is just 3mAh more than the Pixel Watch 2’s 304mAh and 3mAh more than the first-generation model’s 294mAh.
The Pixel Watch 3 is rumored to feature two sizes, addressing common complaints about previous models’ small size. In response to users who found the previous sizes too compact, Google may introduce a 45mm option alongside the 41mm option.
There is also speculation that the Pixel Watch 3 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 SoC. As a result of the new chip, performance and battery efficiency should be improved over its predecessors. Wear OS optimization could result in a snappier user experience and longer battery life.
