There have been a number of leaks and reports about the Google Pixel 8a that suggest it might be ready for launch soon. An upcoming launch was hinted at by Bluetooth SIG, and the specs and availability details of the device were also leaked. The Pixel 8a’s full specifications and launch timeline have been revealed by another tipster.
Yogesh Brar predicts the Google Pixel 8a will have a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It’s expected that the phone will be powered by the same chipset found in the Pixel 8 smartphones. With 128GB and 256GB storage options, it runs Android 14 out of the box.
At the back, the Pixel 8a features a 13MP ultra-wide camera with OIS and a 64MP primary camera with OIS. The front camera might have 13MP for selfies. Pixel 7a has the same camera setup. There is also a possibility that the smartphone will pack a 4,500mAh battery with 27W fast charging capability.
According to the tipster, the Pixel 8a will launch during Google I/O 2024 on May 14th. It is also expected to cost between $500 and $550, which translates to around Rs 41,635 in India. Depending on the market, pricing would vary.
