The iPhone SE 4 has been rumored for some time, and its detailed specifications have just emerged. It’s not one of our usual sources, as it’s from Nguyen Phi Hung.
Design:
The frame of the phone will be made from aluminum 7000 series. The back will be made of glass, and the front will be made of the same material as the iPhone 13. It will, of course, be possible to use Face ID. It will have a similar backside to the iPhone XR. The iPhone SE 4 measures 148.5 x 71.2 x 7.8mm and weighs 166 grams.
Specs:
According to reports, the phone will feature a 6.1-inch LTPS OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Since the phone will allegedly be based on the iPhone 14, that makes total sense. By the way, that display will also be flat.
This phone is said to be powered by Apple’s A16 Bionic processor, while Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X70 processor will be used. It is expected to include 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and either 128GB or 512GB of NVMe flash memory.
In the source, only one camera is mentioned, the Sony IMX503. Those are the same cameras the company used in the iPhone 12. According to reports, it will have a 12-megapixel sensor and an f/1.8 aperture lens. There is no night mode support on the phone, according to reports.
In addition, Apple’s U1 UWB chip was mentioned. The connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6. As with the vanilla iPhone 15, a Type-C USB port will be located at the bottom, offering 2.0 speeds.
Some sources have mentioned a 3,279mAh battery, but he is still unsure. Wired charging with 20W is expected, as well as wireless charging with 12W (MagSafe and possibly Qi2).
Still, we’re not sure if it’ll launch this year. It remains to be seen whether Apple will offer it next year.
