Now that Xiaomi has released its 14 series of smartphones, anticipation is growing for the company’s next flagship. The device is not expected to launch until late 2024, but early leaks and rumors indicate possible changes, including increased pricing.
The Xiaomi 15 could be priced higher than its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14, according to well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station.
The Xiaomi 14 was launched in China with a starting price of CNY 3,999 (Rs.46,700/-) for the base 8GB/256GB version. Based on these leaks, we can expect the Xiaomi 15 to cost over $600 (Rs.49,900/-) in China.
This price hike may be due to upgraded components and features, although the reasons are not confirmed.
It is rumored that the Xiaomi 15 will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. It has been confirmed by Qualcomm that this chip will feature its custom Oryon CPU cores, as well as a better NPU. Due to this, this Qualcomm chip may cost more than the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
The smartphone features an OLED CSOT LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution and impressive peak brightness, as well as a top-tier OLED CSOT LTPO screen. There are also rumors about upgrades to the camera module and improved battery efficiency. These upgrades could potentially increase the phone’s price.
Early leaks provide a glimpse at what the Xiaomi 15 may look like. Prices and specifications are still subject to speculation, however. It will take more details to get a better picture.
