Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra are now making their way to India less than a week after making their global debuts at MWC. At a dedicated event, Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 14 will be available from Xiaomi India online and physical retail stores, as well as Amazon India and Flipkart from Monday, March 11.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra:
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra will sport a 6.73-inch QHD+ C8 12-bit AMOLED quad-curved LTPO display. It also gets a 120Hz refresh rate along with a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The display also supports HDR10+ and Xiaomi Ceramic Glass protection on top. It is powered by SD 8 Gen 3 SoC coupled with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
In terms of imaging capabilities, the device shines. Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes with a new Leica Summicron lens, a new generation of cameras, and a large aperture at all focal lengths. Four Leica cameras with 50MP and large apertures are included on the device. The camera supports snapshots, night scenes, and 8K video, making it a photographer’s dream.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra will indeed feature a 50MP main Sony LYT-900 sensor. Despite having dual apertures, the lens is wider at the bright end, switching between f/1.63 and f/4.0, which will let up to 136% more light through than the 13 Ultra’s f/1.9 – f/4.0 lens. It is coupled with another 50MP 122-degree Ultra-wide Leica sensor along with a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.2x Optical zoom. Lastly, there is a 50MP periscopic lens with 5x optical zoom and OIS support. All three sensors use a Sony IMX858 image sensor. The good thing is that all four of them can shoot videos up to 8K resolution. It also gets Dual color temperature LED flash, Laser AF.
At Xiaomi’s presentation, Xiaomi demonstrated the 14 Ultra’s 30x Ultra Zoom, which Xiaomi described as eclipsing the competition.
There is a 32MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor and X-Axis motor along with Harmon Kardon stereo speakers.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes with IP68 dust and is water-resistant. Xiaomi’s Surge P2 and Surge G1 custom chips will monitor battery life and charging.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and 5G (Dual-Mode support), A-GPS, GPS, GLONASS, Dual Band Wifi/Wifi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C port. Both run on Android 14 with the latest HyperOS on top. It packs a massive 5000 mAh battery with 90W fast wired & 80W wireless charging support.
Xiaomi 14:
With top-notch specifications, the Xiaomi 14 is a compact flagship phone. It has a boxy design with a protruding square camera module on the back. It is dust- and water-resistant according to IP68 standards. The middle frame is also made of metal.
It measures 8.2mm thick & weighs 188g. The Xiaomi 14 sports a smaller 6.36-inch C8 OLED with 1.5K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also gets 12-bit colors, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 2800-nits brightness.
The Xiaomi 14 comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC coupled with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Xiaomi 14 features a 50MP f/1.6 aperture 1/ 1.31″ Light Fusion 900 main sensor with Hyper OIS & Leica Summilux lens support. It comes with a 50MP 115° Leica ultra-wide with a f/2.2 aperture along with a 50MP Samsung JN1 telephoto lens with an f/2.0 aperture & OIS.
Again the Xiaomi 14 features the same old 32MP selfie shooter as its predecessor.
The Xiaomi 14 packs a 4600 mAh battery with 90W fast wired & 50W wireless charging support. It also gets 10W reverse wireless charging support. The connectivity options include Dual SIM with 4G LTE & 5G support, NFC, IR blaster, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and USB Type-C 3.2 port with X-axis linear motor. It also gets stereo speakers powered by Dolby Atmos. It runs on HyperOS with Android 14 OS out of the box. This time the Xiaomi 14 also gets IP68 certified making it dust and water-resistant.
Pricing:
Xiaomi’s 14 is available in Jade Green, Matte Black, and Classic White colors, and costs Rs. 69,999 for the 12GB + 512GB model. From March 11th, it will be available on Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon.in, and Xiaomi retail stores.
Xiaomi’s 14 Ultra smartphone comes in Black and White colors and is priced at Rs. 99,999 for the 16GB + 512GB model. From April 12th, it will be available through Mi.com and Mi Home.
From March 11th, 12 Noon, you can reserve the Xiaomi 14 Ultra for Rs. 9,999 to receive it early on April 8th. According to the company, more freebies will be announced soon, including a custom back case and camera ring.
