The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is the third member of the upcoming Motorola Edge 50 family. Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Fusion, and the Edge 50 Ultra have all been shown to you previously. Other markets will call it the X50 Ultra. While this Edge 50 Ultra will use the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, the Edge 50 Pro will use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
On the back of Motorola’s Edge 50 Ultra, there are three cameras, including a 75mm periscope lens, each with a 50MP sensor. The optical zoom is around 5x. Just above that periscope lens is laser autofocus. To its right is a triple-LED flash.
Motorola will offer three colors for the Edge 50 Ultra, including Peach Fuzz. In addition to Motorola’s Razr 40 Ultra and Edge 40 Neo, this is Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2024. Peach Fuzz and Black colors have a vegan leather back, while a third option has a brushed finish. A light beige color is in “Sisal”.
Like most phones these days, the Edge 50 Ultra has a curved display with a camera hole in the center. As with other Edge 50 phones we’ve seen recently, this one also displays a date of April 3. As a result, the Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Pro, and Edge 50 Ultra are likely to be announced at the same time.
Last but not least, Motorola Edge 50 Ultra should launch with the new Hello UI, which is based on Android 14. Some of the marketing material for Hello UI clearly shows the Edge 50 Ultra in black and the Edge 50 Pro in purple. Motorola’s new UI will also bring three years of OS upgrades to its phones.
