New phones featuring the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (tentative name) chip are expected to be launched by several brands soon. According to reports, it may compete with the upcoming Realme GT Neo 6, which may use the same chipset. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming iQOO Z9 Turbo will also feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
No other information about the iQOO Z9 Turbo was revealed by DCS. However, he previously shared leaked specifications of an upcoming iQOO phone with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. This device was initially rumored to be an iQOO Neo 9 series phone, but now it’s a Z9-series phone.
As reported previously, the said device may have a 6.78-inch OLED display. There may be a 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 2160Hz PWM dimming on the screen. The device will be equipped with a fingerprint scanner in the display for security. It is expected that the device will run on Android 14 based on OriginOS 4.
The phone will have a dual-camera system with a 50-megapixel camera on the back and no plastic bracket. It’s likely to have some of the same specs as the iQOO Neo9.
According to the tipster, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will have 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. It’ll have a plastic frame and a 120W fast charger. The device is expected to launch in April in the home market.
