The Samsung Galaxy Ring’s production capacity has been revealed in a new report out of South Korea. An initial demo of the wearable device took place in January, and the device will be available in the second half of the year. Several people have already expressed interest in it. The Galaxy Ring has also been confirmed in several details.
According to The Elec, Samsung plans to produce 400,000 Galaxy Rings initially. To meet the brand’s expectations, this is being done to meet the demand. As smart rings have recently gained traction, the estimate is quite ambitious. The wearable device is expected to go into mass production in May.
Furthermore, if the demand exceeds Samsung’s expectations, Samsung will be able to meet the demand. Due to the small form factor and the absence of any ongoing part shortages, production will ramp up. Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Ring at an Unpacked event in late July or early August, which will focus on next-generation foldable smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches. According to the publication, sales could begin in August.
The Galaxy Ring will be available in nine sizes, three colors, and will pack a nine-day battery life, according to Samsung. The smallest size will have a 14.5mAh battery, while the largest model will have a 21.5mAh battery. Additionally, it will work with other Android devices, but not with iOS devices.
