In early July, Samsung will hold its second Unpacked event of the year. Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, and Galaxy Ring at the event.
Sammobile reports that the event will take place in early July. Samsung typically holds its Unpacked announcements on Wednesdays, so they speculate it will take place on July 10.
Samsung also released its Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip phones earlier and earlier – the fourth-gen was released in late August, and the fifth-gen in early August.
Lastly, July 10 is right before the Olympics, which begins on July 26. Samsung, as a major sponsor of the 2024 Olympics, will aim to make a splash at the opening ceremony.
Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 with refined designs will be announced by Samsung (see Fold6 renders here and Z Flip6 renders here). In addition, the pair are likely to come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets.
It is also possible that a separate Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra model will share the same 200MP camera as the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Last but not least, it appears that the Galaxy Ring will replace the Galaxy Watch series at the Mobile World Congress alongside the new foldable. Since we haven’t heard any rumors or leaks about Samsung’s Galaxy Watch7, they may launch later this year.
