In January, we reported that Google is working on two sizes for its next Wear OS device. According to 9to5Google, a 45mm Pixel Watch 3 is on its way, along with the new Pixel Buds Pro 2.

The Pixel Watch now comes in two sizes, which addresses the biggest complaint. Some people find the current 41mm model too small.

The bigger Pixel Watch 3 unit will be 45mm, which should make a significant difference on the wrist. Those larger sizes would be compatible with the Apple Watch Series 9. The Galaxy Watch 6 is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is available in 43mm and 47mm sizes.

For those who prefer smaller watches, Google’s smaller wearable should remain around 41mm in size. Even though the Pixel Watch 3’s UI won’t change between the two sizes, some faces, like Adventure, and apps (Gmail), should benefit from the extra space.

In terms of software, Wear OS 5 based on Android 14 is coming soon. Google made a big deal about Wear OS hybrid interfaces this week, which leverage microcontroller units instead of application processors to dramatically boost battery life.

Furthermore, we’ve heard that Google is working on a new version of its Pixel Buds Pro 2 headphones. It’s been a while since they were developed. Google previously used the year to identify older models at launch. July 2022 marked the launch of Google’s first “Pro” earbuds.
