Apple announced the date of its next big keynote earlier today. In the fall, Apple is expected to release iOS 18, which will be unveiled at the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 10.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, an Apple expert, iOS 18 will be “the most ambitious overhaul of the iPhone’s software in its history”. Those are big words indeed, let’s see if they can be fulfilled.

It looks like Apple will talk a lot about AI at WWDC, if “people familiar with the matter” are to be believed. Gurman says iOS 18 will place AI at the center of its strategy. The SVP of Marketing at Apple, Greg Joswiak, also tweeted about the conference, saying it would be “Absolutely Incredible!”.

According to Gurman, Apple’s AI strategy will include “a slew of new proactive features” to help users. Apple won’t announce its own chatbot, however. For generative AI services, it’s talking to Google and OpenAI.
