This year, Apple is expected to launch its AirPods 4. Mark Gurman, one of Bloomberg’s most accurate reporters, now reveals more information about the next generation of TWS headphones. According to his earlier report, Apple will launch two new AirPods 4 models in the coming months.

According to Gurman, mass production of AirPods 4 will begin in May with partners GoerTek and LuxShare Precision. In September or October, they will likely be released alongside the iPhone 16 series. In the next few years, Apple plans to produce between 20 and 25 million TWS earphones. There is also an increase in production estimates compared to the previous models.

AirPods 4 will be available in two models from Apple. It is said that they are codenamed B768E and B768M. Both terms are used to refer to entry-level products and mid-tier products. With the arrival of those TWS, the second and third-generation AirPods will be discontinued. As a result, the AirPods lineup will include AirPods 4, AirPods Pro (2nd Gen), and AirPods Max.

AirPods 4 will have a new design, improved fit, USB-C, and more, according to a previous report. It is reported that the mid-tier model will have the same ANC and Find My tracking features as the Pro model.

According to Gurman, the next generation AirPods Pro won’t be available until next year. In iOS 18, hearing aid mode is expected to be added to the current-generation offering.
