In a recent report, renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that Apple has been actively working on a foldable 20.3-inch MacBook, targeting a launch in 2027.
According to reports, the foldable MacBook will go into mass production in 2027, meaning it could go on sale the following year. Kuo’s announcement suggests the foldable Macbook will be Apple’s only foldable device with a defined development schedule, separating it from Apple’s experimental plans for a foldable iPhone or iPad.
Apple has been rumored to be working on a 20-inch foldable Macbook for a while. The Korean website The Elec and display analyst Ross Young also suggested Apple is looking into foldable Macbooks this year.
Apple continues to commit to bringing a foldable Macbook to market, despite some reports that its prototypes failed quality tests in the past.
Those reports indicate that it will be the biggest Macbook if they are true. Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro is the company’s largest laptop right now. In 2012, Cupertino Giant discontinued its 17-inch MacBook Pro. Apple’s foldable device plans are still unclear and something concrete would be helpful.
