In the Chinese market, Vivo will launch a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered X-series phone. Whether the device will be called the Vivo X100 Pro+ or X100 Ultra remains unclear. According to leaks that emerged after Vivo launched the X100 and X100 Pro in November last year, the X100 Pro+ may be released in April. Later leaks claimed that its launch had been delayed, suggesting that it may become official by the end of Q2. An official launch date has been revealed by tipster Smart Pikachu courtesy of a leak.
Vivo X100 Pro+ is expected to go official by late April, according to the leaker. Other than this information, the leaker did not provide any details about the phone’s specifications.
There are reports that the X100 Pro+ / X100 Ultra will have a Samsung E7 AMOLED curve-edge display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to feature a 50MP LYT-900 main camera, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, a telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide lens at the back.
It will come with 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The exact battery size is unknown, but it is expected to offer 100W charging and 50W wireless charging. Other features include a USB-C port with USB Gen 3.2 support, dual stereo speakers, and an IP68-rated chassis. Shades such as black, blue, and yellow are expected to be available.
