In India, Realme recently launched its latest smartphone, the Realme 12 Pro series. Now, the Realme 12 and Realme 12 Plus will be added to the lineup. Thanks to a recent TENAA listing, we now have the scoop on the upcoming Realme 12 Plus 5G.
According to TENAA, the phone has the model number RMX3866, which matches the model number spotted in MIIT and other certifications.
In terms of design, the 12 Plus takes cues from its Pro siblings, featuring a large, circular camera island and a distinctive stripe along the back. The phone also features flat frames and a teardrop notch display.
Specs:
It features a generous 6.67-inch screen with a full HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and an AMOLED panel for vibrant colors. For security, there is an in-display fingerprint scanner. According to the listing, the display will support either 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rates.
Realme 12 Plus 5G is powered by a 2.6GHz octa-core processor, but the specific chipset details are unknown. There will be a variety of RAM options available, including 6GB, 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB. Storage options include 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and even 1TB. Based on Android 14, Realme UI 5 will run on the phone.
The Realme 12 Plus 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup – a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. There’s a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies. A 5,000mAh battery powers the device, but its charging details are still unknown.
As soon as the Realme 12 Plus 5G is certified by TENAA, it might launch in China alongside the Realme 12 Pro series later this month. There is still no word on pricing or global availability.
