The iPhone 16 series has been the subject of leaks and rumors for some time now. Apple’s next-generation flagship smartphones are expected to debut in September. iPhone 16 models are rumored to feature a dedicated Capture button. Weibo user Instant Digital with a mixed record has revealed details about the Capture button in the latest development.
According to Instant Digital, the iPhone 16’s Capture button will detect multiple levels of pressure. Digital cameras have two-step buttons similar to this. It will trigger the capture of images or videos. It is possible, however, to adjust focus and lock it with a light or halfway press. By doing this, the image will not come out blurry as compared to pressing a finger on the display to lock focus on the subject. It has also been reported that the Capture button could also support zooming in and out.
Two-stage shutter buttons are already available on some Sony Xperia phones. Dedicated Capture buttons make it easy to take pictures quickly. Only the camera app can be launched by the Action button on the iPhone 15 Pro. Apple’s decision to include the Capture button on the iPhone 16 indicates the company’s emphasis on photography with the next-generation devices. For photographers and videographers, it could be useful.
All iPhone 16 models may not have the Capture button. There is a dedicated button on the bottom right side of the iPhone 16 Pro, as revealed in early renders.
