Samsung may not be adding many new features to the Galaxy S24 Ultra in terms of hardware, but it appears the company is making the most of what it has. Despite not improving camera resolution or sensor size, the South Korean firm offers more features and improved quality. Video recordings in 8K can be zoomed in 5x while being recorded. Video recording at high frame rates is another feature.
Ice Universe claims that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be able to record 4K videos at 120 frames per second. It is rare for a smartphone to record 4K videos at 120 frames per second. Whether the phone can record videos using all its cameras at that resolution and frame rate is unclear. The Galaxy S24 Ultra should theoretically support that feature, but only time will tell whether Samsung has implemented it across all cameras.
Rumors suggest the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature an 800MP primary rear camera with OIS, an ultrawide camera with 12MP, a telephoto camera with 10MP and 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. With its 5x optical zoom and in-sensor crop from its 50MP camera, the phone could offer 10x optical quality-like zoom.
The primary and largest zoom cameras can record 8K 30fps videos, and all the cameras can record 4K videos. Samsung will also offer ‘Nightography Zoom,’ a feature powered by AI that might improve image and video quality even in low-light conditions. Other AI-powered features are said to include Generative AI, which fills in blank spaces in images while editing.
