In recent weeks, it has been revealed that HMD Global will launch new smartphones under its brand. The company has released Nokia-branded devices and now plans to expand into Android phones. The latest sighting reveals a key camera spec for the upcoming device.
In November 2023, two smartphones from HMD Global appeared on the IMEI database. It was expected that these devices would launch in April 2024. We also got a first look at the upcoming HMD phone through a render leak earlier this month. The fresh report from Suomimobiili shared the product render spotted on the brand’s website, despite these being leaks or certification sightings.
According to the original report, following the link leads to a 404 Error, indicating the image was taken down soon after it went live. We could still see the rear camera module in the image, though. It appears that the design is in line with our previous report. In the image, the 108MP OIS etching confirms the primary sensor’s resolution and Optical Image Stabilization capabilities.
The HMD smartphone comes in cyan color. This device’s specs and pricing are still unclear. The device does have a dual camera setup on the back, however. Evan Blass also shared codenames for upcoming HMD-branded devices last week. There are five types: Pulse, Legend, Pulse+, Legend Plus, Pulse Pro, and Legend Pro. We will update you when we have more information, so stay tuned.
