Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in October 2023. After the chip’s launch, several brands announced plans to incorporate it into their devices. Except for Vivo and Sony, all brands have already introduced smartphones powered by SD8G3. The Vivo X100 Ultra is expected to debut in April, but the Sony flagship is expected to be unveiled in the first half of the year. Motorola was not listed in the list, which was surprising. In the coming months, Motorola is expected to launch a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone in China.
Motorola is developing a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that will go official in Q2 2024, according to tipster Wisdom Pikachu. The mysterious phone is unknown to anyone else.
On the global market, Motorola releases the Edge-series and the X-series as its flagship phones. Previously, the company unveiled the Moto X40 featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in December 2022, and rebranded it as the Motorola Edge 40 Pro for the global market in April 2023.
As of now, there is no confirmation that Motorola’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will launch as the Moto X50 in China. Motorola Edge 50 Pro may be repackaged as the same device in the global market.
Hopefully, the rumor mill will reveal more details about the Motorola flagship phone soon.
