Today, Apple has officially announced the availability of the Vision Pro in the US after multiple leaks in the past. It was announced at WWDC last year that a mix-reality headset would be available. With regards to the pricing and availability details of the device, along with its bundled accessories, the Cupertino-based tech giant has released the information. According to CEO Tim Cook, spatial computing has arrived with this release. The device is hailed as one of the most advanced consumer electronics devices ever created.
Apple Vision Pro’s starting price is $3,499 for 256GB. There will be other models, according to the company. Apple’s online store will begin taking pre-orders for the mixed-reality headset on January 19. From February 2, it will be available for shipping. From February 2, the Vision Pro will also be available at the brand’s official stores.
Solo Knit and Dual Loop Bands are included with the Apple Vision Pro. In this way, users can choose the fit that is most comfortable for them. The brand is also bundling a Light Seal, two Light Seal Cushions, and a Vision Pro Front Cover. Besides the polishing cloth and battery, there is a USB-C cable and a USB-C adapter as well.
Additionally, Apple revealed details about the lens attachments for vision correction. ZEISS Optical Inserts Readers will cost $99, while prescription lenses will cost $149.
It features two OLED displays with ultra-high resolution. The device is powered by Apple M2 and Apple R1 dual chipsets. There are 12 cameras and 6 microphones in the mixed-reality headset. The device runs on VisionOS, a combination of macOS, iOS, and iPadOS.
