Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was outperformed by Apple’s latest A17 Pro chip. Geekbench 6 scores for Apple’s A18 Pro chip have been revealed. Single-core performance has improved significantly over the previous generation A17 Pro.

All iPhone 16 models are rumored to feature the A18 SOC. Users who are considering buying the iPhone 16 will be very pleased with this news. The Geekbench 6 result of the emerging A18 Pro gives some insight into the next generation of iPhones.

As compared to the previous generation A17 Pro, the Apple A18 Pro scored 3500 on single-core and 8200 on multi-core. As a comparison, the A17 Pro scored 2906 on single core and 7231 on multicore. Geekbench results for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 showed much better multi-core performance than the Apple A18 Pro, according to recent leaks.

In the leaked Geekbench 6 results, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 scored 2985 on single-core and 10762 on multi-core, which is very close to Apple’s M3. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be available in devices by the end of the fourth quarter.
